Kristen – Early Childhood Educator

Hi, my name is Kristen, I’m a proud Kullilli woman from Thargomindah and an early childhood educator at Deadly Kindy Burragah.

I’m a single mum of two beautiful boys, one aged 5 years and the other aged 11 months. I’ve been working with ATSICHS for about a month now but I was an ATSICHS BiOC mum with my youngest and I’ve been attending the Logan clinic since 2019.

I chose to work for Deadly Kindy because I wanted a change from the long daycare I was working in and I wanted to spend more time with children. As an educator I support our jarjums and help them achieve their developmental milestones. The most rewarding part of my role is seeing our jarjums reach their goals and dreams.

I was drawn to working in childcare after spending lots of time looking after my nieces and nephews growing up. Caring for our younger generation has always come naturally to me and childcare seemed like the best place for me.

When I’m not working I love spending time with my children and my family and getting creative with painting and drawing.
